Sewage Treatment System: requirements, main components, operation, maintenance, analysis, troubleshooting.

Learning objectives :

At the end of the training course the participant shall:

·        Understand the requirements of the ship’s sewage treatment system

·        Understand the quality standard of treated sewage

·        Determine the meaning of “black” and “grey” water

·        Be familiar with the layout of the ship’s sanitary system

·        Recognise the purpose and design of the main components

·        Be familiar with the operation of the STP

·        Be able to carry out planned maintenance of STP components

·        Perform wastewater analysis and proper testing methods

·        Learn troubleshooting information

·         Consolidate knowledge by completing a final quiz
