·        Superintendents and Technical Office Personnel overseeing fleet environmental performance, compliance audits, and system certification.

·        Designated Environmental or Safety Officers responsible for ensuring implementation of the Ballast Water Management Plan and recordkeeping requirements.

The course ensures all personnel understand the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention, D-1 and D-2 standards, and the safe, compliant operation of ballast water systems onboard.

   Course Description:

This course provides a clear and practical understanding of ballast water management and treatment onboard ships. It explains how ballast water can transfer harmful aquatic organisms, outlines the international regulations that control these risks, and presents the main treatment technologies used to meet compliance requirements.

Participants will learn how to operate ballast water systems safely, maintain accurate records, and support environmental protection through proper procedures. Real-world examples and case studies illustrate both effective practices and the consequences of non-compliance.
