This course provides an essential overview of the Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan (SEEMP) Parts I and II, focusing on strategies and requirements for enhancing energy efficiency in the maritime industry. Participants will explore the background of greenhouse gas emissions from ships, understand the importance of energy efficiency, and learn about key indices like the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI), Energy Efficiency Operational Indicator (EEOI), and Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI). The course also covers SEEMP Part II’s fuel consumption data collection requirements, helping learners differentiate between operational and reporting aspects of SEEMP.
