·   Identify the five stages of ECDIS passage planning: appraisal, planning, execution, monitoring, and review.

·   Explain the purpose of the appraisal and planning stages in ensuring a safe and compliant voyage plan. 

·  Describe how ECDIS safety parameters such as safety contour, cross-track limits, and look-ahead settings support safe navigation. 

·  Apply ECDIS passage planning procedures to create and monitor a safe berth to berth route while considering navigational hazards, vessel limitations, and regulatory requirement
