  Course Description:

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of anchoring systems and procedures in accordance with OCIMF guidelines. It covers the design and function of anchoring equipment, safe operational practices, and essential maintenance to ensure reliability and safety during anchoring operations.

   Learning objectives:

At the end of the training course the participant shall:

·        Recall the main components of an anchoring system and their individual functions.

·        Explain the purpose and operation of key anchoring equipment.

·        Describe the factors influencing anchoring operations, such as seabed conditions, weather, and scope ratios.

·        Apply standard anchoring procedures to ensure safe and efficient anchor handling under different conditions.

·        Implement correct inspection and maintenance practices to maintain the reliability of anchoring equipment in accordance with OCIMF guidelines
