This course has been designed to provide all required skills for the safe conduct of vessels in any visibility conditions in order to avoid collisions. The navigational rules are explained using various examples and case studies aiming to highlight the importance of situational awareness. The actions of navigators are reviewed depending on ship approach and distance between the ships with emphasis in all necessary measures that should be taken.
