The intention of this course is to increase personal responsibility for the safety of the marine environment and compliance with the Maritime Convention on the Protection of the Marine Environment from Pollution. Advice is given on how to avoid participating in shipboard activities that may cause pollution. This also applies to onshore personnel such as owners operators supervisors technical managers or anyone else making operational decisions.
