Course Description:
This course contains basic information regarding cargo operations on oil and chemical tankers. Emphasis is given on tanker types and arrangements, description of cargo systems, precautions during cargo operations, cargo dangers and basic safety requirements. Throughout the duration of the course, guidance on how to safely perform duties during cargo operations will be successfully presented.
This course is inspired by the IMO Model Course 1.01 – Basic Training for Oil and Chemical Tanker Cargo Operations and uses it only as a reference framework. It has been carefully developed as an introductory-level eLearning program, with a shorter duration and streamlined structure that provide a concise and accessible overview of tanker operations and safety practices in a flexible digital format.
