This course highlights the parallel operation basic principles of the auxiliary alternator and it’s electric power generation.

   At the end of the training course the participant shall:

·        Know basic of ship alternator construction.

·        Understand the principles of AC power generation.

·        Understand an alternator’s basic AVR operation principle.

·        Understand active and reactive power sharing.

·        Know the causes of reverse power mode.
